West Ham boss Slaven Bilic admits they've tried to sign Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette.

West Ham's search for a new striker has seen them linked this week with Manchester City prospect Kelechi Iheanacho, 20, and Sunderland's evergreen 34-year-old Jermain Defoe.

“We are not looking for Griezmanns," Bilic said. “We would like them, but we are realistic.

"Last year we tried to do something like that. We were in talks with (Lyon and France striker Alexandre) Lacazette, and maybe we spent too much time hoping.

"We spent a lot of time on that, the board really tried and then it did not happen. Then we missed some No2 (options) and No3s."
