Karen Brady has revealed his Slaven Bilic reacted to West Ham United's transfer deadline day business.
The Hammers managed to land Alex Song, Victor Moses, Nikica Jelavic and Michail Antonio on the final day of the summer transfer window which added to the earlier signings of Dimitri Payet, Pedro Obiang, Angelo Ogbonna, Manuel Lanzini and Darren Randolph.
In regard to the summer bounty, manager Bilic expressed his gratitude to the fruitful work taken out by the Hammers hierarchy which Brady acknowledges is a first for her since she has been involved with the East London club.
"Our joint chairmen (David Gold and David Sullivan) are pushing the boat out for the manager," Brady recently wrote in her football diary for The Sun.
"Today four players are added to the West Ham roster, three of them out-and-out forwards, so you can see Slaven Bilic's intentions.
"He sent me a note: 'Good job Karren. We've done well. Thanks!' First time in 25 years a manager has done that.
"David Sullivan and David Gold decided that it was self-defeating to squabble and went for our targets, full tilt. Messing with late paperwork wins nothing but frustration and bad feelings."
