West Ham boss Slaven Bilic is happy to be working with Andy Carroll.
Carroll and Everton striker Romelu Lukaku – an inch shorter - will lead from the front in a clash of the heavyweights at Upton Park.
"Those strikers were like very popular when we played and even before," Bilic said. "They were very, very popular, then they were not so popular.
"Now they are back in business and everybody loves to have a big No 9 because the midfield is so thick and so closed that it is very difficult to go through there by passing.
"But they can't be the one-dimensional players that they were 30 or 40 years ago. Now they have to be versatile. They can't be static.
"They have to basically be complete players and that is when those players like (Didier) Drogba, (Zlatan) Ibrahimovic, and all them became again great players.
"When you say old-fashioned, they only remind you because of their size. They are basically very quick and very mobile players for that size. That is why it is so hard to find them."
