West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce feels winning the FA Cup would convince Alex Song to stay long-term.
The midfielder is on-loan from Barcelona.
"In this competition, there is always that piece of luck that you need whether it be in the draw or going all the way through," said Allardyce.
"It could be if we win the trophy, we keep Song. Who knows? It is up to him if he wants to stay. He has done well and alerted other clubs.
"If you ask me if I want him to stay, of course I do but it all lies on the financial side and whether he wants to stay."
