West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce has warned fans Michel Platini will stop them improving his squad as they would like.
Allardyce says the UEFA president's financial fair play demands will stall the club's progress.
Allardyce said: "We are telling the fans now that it might be a problem and we can't spend money, because we are not allowed to.
"The days of huge money being thrown at transfers look like they might be restricted.
"Everybody has to be very aware that we might not be able to be as free-spending as perhaps we would want to be, to get the team as best as it could be as quickly as we can."
