West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce isn't surprised that match fixing is back in the English game.
Allardyce wrote in the London Evening Standard: "I've never come across it in all my years in the game but anything can happen when you have a scenario where an individual is financially desperate and temptation is put his way. Also, when you have a fast-growing betting industry and it's so easy to gamble, whether on a laptop, phone or tablet, it can be easy to become addictive.
"It's a far cry from the days when the man came knocking on our door for my mum's pools coupon or the three days a week she went to bingo, probably to keep her sane after looking after us."
