West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce feels the England success of Tottenham winger Andros Townsend justifies the loan system. Allardyce wrote in the London Evening Standard: "I don't want to bang on about it again but Andros's emergence is a vindication of the loan system.
"I believe there was a chance Spurs could even have sold him - perhaps to Millwall a couple of years ago - but I don't think that would have stopped him because playing regularly in the Championship would have brought him on anyway."
