West Ham boss Allardyce tells Carroll he's their main man

West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce has told new signing Andy Carroll will be their main man.

The on-loan Liverpool striker Carroll starts against Fulham today before heading off next week for two World Cup qualifiers.

Allardyce said: "Andy can keep his momentum going in terms of his career because he needs Premier League football.

"We can give him that not just for his own sake but for the sake of his England position."
