West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce is sending an SOS to on-loan Liverpool striker Andy Carroll.
The match at Fulham is a must-win for both teams with the Hammers just two points above the Cottagers and eight points clear of the drop zone.
Boss Allardyce said: "Andy is fit in that he has cleared from the injury and he is in training.
"But we will have to assess whether he is going to be in the squad at such an early stage.
"He has had no competitive football and only two days' training with the squad.
"We aren't comfortable by any stretch of the imagination - our recent results suggest we are anything but comfortable.
"We have played seven games and taken five points. It's not enough, and the players' responsibility is to get more points on the board."
