West Ham boss Allardyce: Sacking season now upon us

West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce feels the first Premier League sacking of the season is just around the corner.

He wrote in the London Evening Standard: "We're about to enter what has historically been labelled the 'sacking month' for managers - November.

"Not in the Championship, however. Sheer panic seems to have set in there with 11 managerial changes already - with Leeds and Watford having gone through seven between them!

"Although speculation has been rife, the Premier League has been an oasis of calm compared with what's happening elsewhere - and that follows a trend.

"Last season only three Premier League clubs had changed their managers by February even though, by the end of the season, that total had dramatically risen to 11.

"This season, there have been no changes - yet."
