West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce is ready to move for Everton striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni.
The Liverpool Daily Post says Yakubu had hinted that he would be prepared to join Leicester City on a permanent basis, despite their failure to secure promotion to the top-flight under Sven-Goran Eriksson.
But with the Nigerian earning an estimated £50,000 per week at Everton, and reluctant to accept a drop in wages, a move to the east Midlands appears increasingly unlikely, and Moyes has since been struggling to offload the 28-year-old, who cost £11.25m upon his arrival on Merseyside in 2007.
Turkish sides Fenerbahce and Bursaspor have both expressed an initial interest in the former Middlesbrough man, and would be able to match Yakubu's salary.
Allardyce, together with owners David Gold and David Sullivan, is seeking to build a squad to lead West Ham straight back to the Premier League, and seemingly has the backing with which to do so.
