West Ham boss Allardyce hits out at sack culture after latest win

West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce is happy to have silenced critics with their recent winning form.

Following Saturday's impressive 3-1 victory over Southampton, Allardyce expressed his frustration at the lack of patience afforded to managers.

"The big thing to say to everybody is how volatile the game is today because we are now sat with one point more now than we were last season after 27 games," Allardyce told Sky Sports.

"I think that says it all about the volatility around the game and the fact that people don't have any patience anymore.

"It just goes to show at any given time if your players are fit and performing to the best of their ability they'll get results.

"Like everything else as a manager you've got to keep calm, you've got to keep faith in them, and you've got to keep telling them do the right things and believe."
