West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce has hit back at critics of England coach Roy Hodgson.
Allardyce wrote in the London Evening Standard: "I watched England against Chile and Germany and my response to some of the criticism that followed is -what's the problem?
"So, we lost two friendlies but we're preparing for the World Cup finals and Roy Hodgson was looking to see if there are players, apart from those which helped England qualify, who could break into the squad.
"As I see it now, the biggest problem for Roy is similar to mine at West Ham - finding those goals."
