West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce was delighted to edge their FA Cup thriller against Everton in midweek.
He wrote in the London Evening Standard: "I hope the West Ham fans have recovered from that pulsating FA Cup replay against Everton the other night. I know my blood pressure took some time to return to normal.
"I honestly can't remember experiencing so many ups and downs in a game. It was a case of two teams going at it hammer and tongs from the first whistle right through to the final penalty.
"Neither of us wanted extra-time and that's why it was such an open game, a real contrast to many Premier League matches.
"It was a classic Cup tie which had everything, culminating of course with that dramatic penalty shoot-out and the rarity of a spot-kick showdown between two goalkeepers."
