West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce has dropped a big hint he wants Matt Taylor to stay.

The midfielder is being linked with a move away this season.

But Allardyce wrote in the London Evening Standard: "Matt Taylor ran 1,962m at high intensity against Southampton last weekend and totalled 13.62km over 90 minutes — more than anyone else. He epitomises the application and the determination which all our players have demonstrated in recent weeks."
