West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce rates Stewart Downing as the best performing midfielder in the Premier League.
Downing, 30, has been in inspirational form as the Hammers have moved to seventh place in the table after a dodgy start to the season.
Allardyce said: "I don't think there is anybody playing in midfield that is better than Stewart Downing - he was my man of the match against QPR.
"The confidence is growing again in Stewart and he's showing his quality."
