West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce is delighted with Winston Reid's new deal.
The Kiwi penned terms on Thursday.
Allardyce said: "If you look at where the Club's going, to the new Stadium, and even though we've slipped a bit we've had a great season until now, securing his signing is good.
"It will also save the Club an awful lot of money in the transfer market in the summer to replace him if he left.
"It's very good business for us and very good from Winston's point of view, because I don't think he's been anything but happy here in the last few years and he's shown that by signing."
