West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce has confirmed his interest in Vitesse Arnhem striker Wilfried Bony.

Allardyce admits their scouts have been watching the Ivorian.

"It is only like everything else - our head scout will be at the game as well as other scouts and that means 'we're after him.' We are monitoring everybody that might become available in the summer.

"More goals are what we need. Our leading goalscorer has only got six so we look for somebody who can get us more goals - that's a necessity for us to progress."
