West Ham boss Allardyce can sense growing job pressure

West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce admits he can feel the growing pressure on his job.

Allardyce says the only way to be sure of his job is to start winning.

"The only way that I can relieve pressure on myself is to get results," said Allardyce on Tuesday.

"Even with the backing of David Sullivan and David Gold, their patience cannot last for ever if I continue to lose football matches. It is as simple as that.

"I have been appreciative of their support and backing, there is no doubt about that, but I have to deliver. I have to get the team winning as quickly as possible. We have got to stay in this league.

"The extra pressure is the magic of the Olympic Stadium but since I arrived I knew that was the ultimate business plan, to make sure West Ham are an established Premier League side when they go into this new arena."
