West Ham boss Allardyce big Mourinho fan

West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce admits he's a big admirer of Chelsea counterpart Jose Mourinho.

Allardyce wrote in the London Evening Standard: "He has, for want of a better word, a real charisma and that certainly helps make him so good. As managers though, we sometimes react under pressure, we can't always keep our cool - and Jose is no different in that respect.

"Yes, he's had the all the ingredients for success at Chelsea but that doesn't guarantee anything. With Jose, if you give him the tools, he will deliver.

"Because of his personality, he will inevitably attract attention and that can be valuable because he can - and does - deflect the spotlight onto himself and away from his players.

"Sir Alex Ferguson used to do it in perhaps more of a confrontational manner but either way it leaves their players to get on with the job which is what they're paid to do.

"Jose seems to thrive under the pressure which, if you're not careful at this level, can find you out."
