West Ham United are confident of hanging onto Matthew Upson and Scott Parker, it has been revealed.

A West Ham executive told the Guardian: "(Gianfranco) Zola, (Gianluca) Nani and [the chief executive] Scott Duxbury are sure about Upson and Parker but not as certain about (Craig) Bellamy as he has a strong mind. Parker knows the feeling of being a good player and staying on the bench at Chelsea."

Parker is a big-money target for Manchester City.
