West Ham United have blocked Robert Kovac's move to Stoke City.
The Mirror says West Ham have put a temporary block on Kovac's switch to Stoke while they assess Thomas Hitzlsperger's injury.
Czech midfielder Kovac, 30, was due at the Britannia Stadium yesterday to discuss a £1.5million switch.
But Hammers' new signing Hitzlsperger, recruited on a free from Lazio, picked up a thigh injury in Germany's 2-2 draw against Denmark in an international friendly on Wednesday.
