West Ham block any move for Behrami

Valon Behrami has been told by West Ham he will remain with the club despite interest from Europe. The Swiss midfielder has been linked with a move away, with a number of clubs, including Serie A side Palermo interested in the former Lazio player.

But his agent, Alessandro Beltrami, believes he will be at Upton Park at the start of the new season in England.

"Valon is thinking about the World Cup, his future will be discussed later," Beltrami told tuttomercatoweb.com

"West Ham have declared him non-transferable, so I think it is 99% certain he will remain in England.

"Talk of Palermo? That is good because it means the player has done well.

"However, we are happy that West Ham have made him unavailable for transfer."

The 25-year-old joined the Hammers from Lazio in 2008 and is under contract until June 2013.
