West Ham battling to keep Stoke target Collison

West Ham United are battling to keep hold of midfielder Jack Collison.

The Sun says the midfielder is meeting Hammers vice-chairman Karren Brady on Thursday amid speculation of a firesale of the club's best players following relegation.

Collison, 22, returned from a year out with a serious knee injury in the final weeks of the season and has rekindled his Wales career.

Stoke are among the Premier League clubs showing interest in Collison even though he still has two years left on his contract.

He is one of the young players new boss Sam Allardyce wants to rebuild the team around in a bid to bounce straight back into the top flight.
