West Ham United are eyeing Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh.

The Sunday Mirror says if West Ham fail to land Nicolas Anelka, Sam Allardyce will try to sign Arsenal's Marouane Chamakh on loan for the rest of the season.

However, Bordeaux are also keen to bring Chamakh back to the club where he made his name in France although Arsenal will have to subsidise his wages if he moved back to the French club.
