West Ham fought a fine rearguard action at Everton, twice coming from behind to earn a 2-2 draw and a vital point in their battle against the drop. After a run of six straight defeats the Hammers deserved their share of the spoils at Goodison Park.
Dinyar Bilyaletdinov headed Everton into a first-half lead that keeper Tim Howard preserved by saving a penalty from Mido after a foul on Carlton Cole.
But the visitor's were not to be denied in the second half as Manuel Da Costa bundled in to level from a corner.
But with five minutes remaining Toffees substitute Yakubu's header seemed to have won it, but the Hammers fighting spirit remained and two minutes later Araujo Ilan restored parity lifting the Londoner's a point clear of the relegation zone.
