West Ham United are favourites for Lille attacker Salomon Kalou.
The Daily Star says West Bromwich Albion have fallen behind in the race to sign Kalou, who is currently in talks with West Ham over a move back to the Premier League.
Baggies boss Steve Clarke wanted to bring the 27-year-old to the club, after losing the services of on-loan Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku.
