Everton were able to deny West Ham United the chance of climbing out of the drop zone with a 1-1 draw at Upton Park.
The result allowed the Toffees to take their unbeaten run to four matches, moving to 12th on the table, as the Hammers notched up a third game without a loss but stayed 19th on the league table.

GOAL Disaster struck for the visitors in the 16th minute when Hammers' Czech international Radoslav Kovac attempted an overhead kick and the result was what he wanted as it deflected in off Tony Hibbert for an own goal that David Moyes did not need.
GOAL However, Everton fought back to level before half-time when Tim Cahill crossed to Seamus Coleman who side-footed home.
The Toffees had the better of the chances and were unable to put them away but they managed to refute West Ham's claims of grabbing a second win in a row at home for the first time this season.
