West Ham United striker Andy Carroll was delighted with his playing return for their Capital One Cup defeat to Leicester City.
Carroll has been plagued by injury since his £15million signing from Liverpool in 2013 and has only just come back from an ankle problem.
"Obviously we're disappointed with the result but to get 60 minutes under my belt was good," said the striker. “I didn't get on against Manchester City and only had two minutes against Newcastle, so an hour is good.
“Now I'm trying to get in the starting XI and stay there."
