West Bromwich Albion development coach Jimmy Shan feels Saido Berahino's success can help them compete in the youth transfer market.
Sixteen-year-olds Jonathan Leko and Tyler Roberts, the Nabi brothers, Adil, 21, Samir, 18, and Rahis, 16, offer more promise while much is expected of 15-year-old Sameron Dool.
“What Saido Berahino has done is show there is a pathway from the academy to the first team,", said Shan to the Birmingham Mail.
“That helps convince young players when they are making a decision over whether to come to us or another club.
“What we have is a real family environment and we hope that makes for a better place to enjoy your football.
“We like to play football the purist way if you like, so it's not about how athletic you are, we like to give them plenty of the ball and as I say we have a saying: 'you can't ignore the talent."
