West Brom youngster Jack Fitzwater up for returning to Walsall

West Brom youngster Jack Fitzwater is up to returning to Walsall next season.

The 20-year-old defender is out of contract at the end of next month and does not know whether he will be offered a new deal at The Hawthorns.

Fitzwater impressed while on loan with Walsall during the second half of the season and he said: “I've really enjoyed my time at Walsall and I want to keep testing myself. If there is an option to come here and play I will definitely consider it. I've got game time this season so why can't I do it next season?"

He continued: “I am out of contract and there are numerous meetings going on. We are just going to have to see what happens over the next few weeks.

“If I stay, I stay at West Brom. If I get to play wherever they are – Premier League or Championship I will play.

“But if I have to go out and ply my trade somewhere else I will go and do that. I'm sure everyone can see I will put my body on the line wherever I go."
