West Bromwich Albion are keen on former Liverpool football chief Damien Comolli.

The Mirror says West Brom want Comolli to be their new football 'guru' - once he settles his cash row with Liverpool.

The Frenchman has shot to the top of the Albion wish-list for their director of football post, which will need to be filled as Dan Ashworth heads to the FA.

Comolli is taking Liverpool to an industrial tribunal - with that hearing about to start on Thursday - as he seeks a larger pay-off.
