West Bromwich Albion will take their time over finding a replacement for Pepe Mel.
The Express & Star says the club have already received 50 applications for the post with chairman Jeremy Peace ready to play a hands-on role as well as leaning heavily on the newly-appointed Technical Director Terry Burton.
Although he does not officially start work until next month when his contract as Arsenal youth coach runs down, Burton is already thought to be up-to-date with the process.
Albion will go through the tried and trusted formula to find the man to take over from Mel. A shortlist of seven will be assembled before that is whittled down to three and the interview process kicks in.
