West Bromwich Albion are waiting in the wings to land Aston Villa striker John Carew.
The Sun says Darren Bent's arrival from Sunderland will signal the end of 31-year-old Carew's Villa Park career.
West Brom want to take the Norway international striker on loan until the end of the season.
But the Baggies being put off by his £65,000-a-week wages.
