West Brom striker Rickie Lambert accepts his bit-part role under manager Tony Pulis.
Lambert is hopeful he impressed boss Tony Pulis with his second-half showing at West Ham on Sunday, when he inspired Albion's comeback in a 1-1 draw.
Regardless, Lambert is happy to help the team in whatever way he can, whether from the start or off the bench.
“Obviously, I want to play more minutes," said Lambert. “But it's the Premier League and Salomon (Rondon) is doing really well.
“He suits the way the managers plays and I am there for whatever minutes I get. I want to start but if not, I want to come on and try to affect the game and help the lads.
“It's a long season, there's no point throwing tantrums and not performing in training. I have never been that type of player or person and never will be."
