WEST BROM v MAN UTD RECAP: Rondon strike seals it for Baggies as Red Devils reduced to ten

West Bromwich Albion defeated ten-man Manchester United 1-0 at The Hawthorns on Sunday.

Salomon Rondon scored the only goal of the contest when he superbly controlled Sebastien Pocognoli's cross from the left before side-footing beyond David De Gea in the 66th minute.

The goal came 40 minutes after United were rescued to ten men when Juan Mata was shown a second yellow card for cutting down Darren Fletcher.

The win was Tony Pulis' side's third in their past four outings which has them up to 11th on the table as Louis van Gaal's United dropped to sixth.
