Manchester City kicked off their 2015/16 Barclays Premier League campaign with a comfortable 3-0 win over West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns.
It was an impressive performance from Manuel Pellegrini's side who commenced the season by going top of the table after the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal dropped points on the opening weekend.
Yaya Toure opened the scoring in the ninth minute when he received a ball from Jesus Navas at the top of the area before lashing home between the legs of Craig Dawson as David Silva attempted to deflect the initial attempt past the Baggies defender.
15 minutes later and City were two to the good when Ivorian midfielder Toure grabbed his second with a well-struck curler from the edge of the box after playing a neat one-two with Wilfried Bony.
Saido Berahino had a goal disallowed for offside four minutes prior to the break prior before scuffing a gilt-edged chance early in the second half.
However, the contest was wrapped up just before the hour-mark courtesy of City captain Vincent Kompany who produced a looped front post header to see home David Silva's corner.
