West Brom have handed trials to released Blackburn Rovers midfielder Jason Lowe.

The Express & Star says the Baggies are handing a trial to 25-year-old free agent Lowe in their first preseason game.

The defensive midfielder has been training with the Baggies in Austria for the past week.

A former captain of England under-20s, Lowe has spent his whole career at Blackburn Rovers to date.

He was captain last season but was one of eight players released by Rovers following relegation from the Championship.
