West Brom are ready to try again for Watford striker Troy Deeney.

The Sun says Tony Pulis is keen on Deeney as the Baggies chief hunts reinforcements to his front line.

Any move from Pulis would allow Birmingham fan Deeney to return to the Midlands to be closer to his family.

Both West Brom and Watford have looked safe for weeks, despite the Hornets slide towards the drop zone.

And while Hornets are almost certain to be playing top-flight football next year, the table suggests Deeney would be taking a forward step with a move to the Hawthorns.
