Darren Moore is set to be confirmed fulltime manager of West Brom.

The Mirror says Baggies chiefs have returned to the UK from China after crunch talks with owner Guochuan Lai in the Far East.

Chief executive Mark Jenkins and technical consultant Giuliano Terraneo went to get Lai's approval to appoint the club's new head coach.

An official announcement from Albion is now expected in the next 24 hours after caretaker Moore beat off competition from Brentford's Dean Smith.

Moore,44, has received the backing of Albion's senior players after gaining 11 points from the club's final six games.

This included impressive wins at Manchester United and Newcastle and at home to Spurs.
