West Brom are ready to bid for Leicester City midfielder Matty James.

The Daily Mail says West Brom scouts watched the 26-year-old in action against Borussia Monchengladbach on Friday night.

The midfielder has recovered from long-term injury and featured last season on-loan with Barnsley.

James has impressed in pre-season and could be in line to play against Arsenal next week as Chelsea target Danny Drinkwater is likely to miss out with a thigh strain.
