West Bromwich Albion have told Jerome Thomas he must wait for new contract talks.

The Daily Mail says the Baggies are refusing to hold contract talks with Thomas until they know their Premier League fate.

Thomas, signed on a free transfer in 2009, has been one of Albion's best players this season. His current deal has 18 months to run before it expires, with the club having a one-year option.

Thomas is keen to thrash out a new longer-term deal with the club, having been linked with Liverpool last month.
