George Thorne is over the moon at agreeing a new contract with the West Bromwich Albion. The 18-year-old midfielder made his Premier League debut against Newcastle on the last day of the season, and has played a part in both games so far on the club's pre-season tour of the United States.
He told the club's official website: "I'm delighted the club were willing to offer me a new contract.
"Hopefully I can prove I am worthy of another one.
"This new contract will give me more confidence. It's another stepping stone for me and hopefully I can push on and be a big part of what's going on at the club."
