West Brom teenager Sam Field has revealed his delight at scoring for the Baggies during their draw against Newcastle United on Tuesday.
He said: "I am a bit speechless at the minute. I am delighted to score but devastated we didn't win the game from the position we were in. It is a bittersweet moment for me.
"I always dreamed of scoring at the Hawthorns, I am not really a goalscorer. I expected my first to be a shinroller so I was more surprised than anything else to see it in the back of the net."
For the Magpies, the 2-2 result means that they have ended a run of four consecutive defeats while for West Brom, it means that their four month winless run continues.
Both sides are next in action on Saturday as West Brom face off against fellow strugglers Crystal Palace while Newcastle prepare to take on Chelsea.
