West Brom targeting Rangers stars McGregor and Naismith

West Bromwich Albion are looking to test Rangers' resolve with potential bids for Allan McGregor and Steven Naismith.

Reports suggest that Baggies boss Roy Hodgson is determined to bring McGregor to The Hawthorns and wants Scotland teammate Naismith to follow.

It is believed that the pair are available for a cut-price £3.5million because of the Glasgow clubs dire financial situation. Both McGregor and Naismith signed contracts which enabled their market prices to be drastically reduced when renegotiating as they agreed to take massive pay cuts.

In McGregor's case, who would be available for £1.5million, Hodgson has been a fan of his for a long time and is keen to bring in a quality goalkeeper as loanee Ben Foster's fate is not sealed until Birmingham City's Championship status is known.

Naismith would be worth £2million and is ready to return to training in the summer after suffering a serious knee injury early in the season.
