West Bromwich Albion are targeting Terry Burton for the front office.
The Birmingham Mail says the Baggies are keen to bring in a senior figure, with vast football experience, to work alongside current sporting and technical director Richard Garlick.
Burton, a one-time Albion coach and former Wimbledon boss, is the favourite.
Baggies chairman Jeremy Peace spoke with England coach Roy Hodgson to gauge who he felt would be the most suitable candidate to take up a role alongside Garlick, with the one-time Baggies boss recommending Burton as the stand-out.
