Sam Allardyce is wanted by West Bromwich Albion after the dismissal of Roberto di Matteo.

The Daily Express says top of the list is Allardyce, who is local born and is a former player, coach and assistant manager at West Brom.

Albion operate with a head coach working under a sporting and technical director, Dan Ashworth, with chairman Jeremy Peace being very hands-on and that would be a deterrent to Allardyce.
