West Bromwich boss Roberto di Matteo has taken Simon Cox off the market.
The Express & Star says Championship clubs interested in taking Albion striker Cox on loan have given up hope that he will be allowed to leave the Hawthorns.
Cox was being linked with a return to Reading.
