West Brom No2 Dave Kemp has urged fans to return to the Hawthorns.
The official attendance for Saturday's game was 22,209, the second-lowest ever gate for a Premier League game at The Hawthorns and 2,400 fewer than last season's average, reports the Express & Star.
It was also Albion's lowest Premier League attendance for a 3pm Saturday kick-off, even though West Ham sold out their 2,800 ticket allocation for the away end.
“I'm sure the ones that weren't here were wishing they probably were," Kemp said. “That's what being a fan's all about unfortunately, some weeks it's good, some weeks it's not so good.
"The ones that came loved every minute of it so I'm sure the next home game, some that weren't here will be back and getting behind the team.
"But 4-2, who's bored?!" he added. "I just don't see it."
