West Bromwich Albion striker Chris Wood is eyeing an extended stay with Birmingham City.
Wood has signed on an initial one-month loan.
He said: "I would love to extend the loan. I've only been here for three weeks but I have learned a lot from the experience."
Wood, who was in New Zealand's squad for the World Cup last summer, admits he's desperate to get regular club football.
He said: "My dad was a footballer so he had me playing the game from the age of three. He played in New Zealand's top league but it was more of a social thing for him - I want to make a career."
